The Master of Public Health (MPH) degree
is the most widely recognized
professional credential for leadership in public health. The Harvard School of
Public Health (HSPH) MPH program is designed for public health leaders, who
aspire to high-level roles in state, federal, international health or the
private sector. Five of the seven previous directors of the Center for Disease
Control and Prevention, for example, received their MPH training at HSPH. Our students
come from all parts of the world and often have relevant experience; over 90
percent have a prior doctoral degree. Many students are preparing for
advancement in their organizations or transition into new fields.
