The Training Program

The Training Program in Environmental Health Sciences, based at the Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH), is a program which emphasizes the importance of gaining knowledge through basic research.

The program integrates laboratory-based research experiences and coursework in order to equip the trainees with the most current tools of chemistry, biochemistry, cell biology, genetics, molecular biology, toxicology, molecular epidemiology, and risk assessment. The program also proposes an extensive range of research for both predoctoral and postdoctoral trainees, combining the committed resources of the School of Public Health and with those in the adjacent Harvard Medical School (HMS). We believe that this program not only provides the trainee with a stimulating atmosphere in which to learn, but also provides the trainee with the kind of support needed to help them focus their scientific direction and further pursue productive careers in the Environmental Health Sciences.
